Dance House Lemesos announces the call for Moving the New artist residency programme. The programme is open to artists or groups of artists from Cyprus or abroad, active in the field of choreography / performance / physical theatre. The programme is described on the Dance House Lemesos's website.

Terms and Conditions


Each artist/group of artists who will be selected will be able to use the D.H.L. space for a total of 2 months (15 hours per week).

Note: The days and hours that the studio space will be at the disposal of the selected artist will be decided by the program coordinator and communications officer of D.HL., is this in accordance with the availability of the space in correspondence to the programme of activities of the organisation.

The time periods of the residencies will be March-April, May-June, July-August, October-November

Note: Only one artist/group of artists will be selected for each time period.

  • D.H.L. can offer:
    Basic technical equipment (sound system, microphone, projector).
  • Free participation in specific D.H.L. related activities.
  • Promotion of research / projects / artistic work in the monthly newsletter of the D.H.L. (for the two months of residency) by the organisation.
  • Ιnformal public presentation/sharing of the idea/project/performance at the end of the residency period (only if its relevant to the artist/group of artists)
  • D.H.L. cannot offer financial support regarding the travel costs, accommodation, daily allowance for artists or artist groups selected from abroad.

 

Selection process


The applications will be reviewed by Alexis Vassiliou (Artistic Director of Dance House Lemesos), Dr. Erica Charalambous (Operations Manager of Dance House Lemesos) and Marios Pavlou (Project Coordinator & Communications Manager). Application deadline is 15 February 2023.
