In 2024, a new house for professional dance and choreography sees the light of day when Kedelhuset in Carlsberg City District, a historic and unique industrial building, will be transformed into a modern facility. Dansehallerne becomes center for future unfoldings of
performing arts for the benefit of people in Copenhagen and Denmark in general.

The industrial building Kedelhuset with the central location in Copenhagen is about to be transformed into Denmark's national meeting point for dance and choreography. The 4,600 square meters listed building will be added lots of life and new function in the service of dance, all while preserving the building's atmosphere and soul. With this, a framework is created where professionals can train, unfold and showcase dance, while amateurs, associations, and audiences can meet and get inspired by the professional dance environment.

Although there is a long way to go, the construction schedule is being kept and the EDN member Danshallerne looks forward to welcoming visitors.

You can get a sneak peek at the future house in the video below.
