The Atelier held by Dansens Hus Stockholm took the form of an international conference aimed to shake up, change perspectives, make visible, challenge and examine norms concerning body, disabilities and choreography within education and the dance field.
During two days exChanging Perspectives highlighted issues concerning how we can make the dance field more accessible for a diversity of bodies, perspectives and functionalities. How can dance education become more inclusive? And how can venues and institutions broaden their repertoire when it comes to integrated dance?
Through lectures, talks and performances participants examined the prevailing norms that affect dance in Sweden and internationally.

During the last few years the work has been focussing more and more on children and young people with special needs and the group has through several years of investigation and doing found approaches to working with norm breaking functionality, through for example the interactive performance Spåra (2012), Tillhet (2016) and through workshops for their target audiences.
